New Derby boss Phil Hufton to address 2018 Dinner at the Roundhouse
Phil Hufton, the newly-appointed and hard-hitting Head of Bombardier UK, will be making his maiden address at the 8th Dinner at the Roundhouse at Derby on Thursday, October 18th 2018.
Phil, most recently Managing Director of Network Rail and also London Underground’s Chief Operating Officer, promises to have outspoken views on securing and letting of multi-million pound contracts, manufacturing, and heavy engineering. He can also reveal how he proposes to remodel Britain’s biggest train builder.
Our other top keynote speaker is Andy Milner, Chief Executive of Amey and one of the UK’s most dynamic railwaymen. Amey, part of the Ferrovial Group, employs 20,000 worldwide, has just won the £5 billion Welsh passenger franchise with its partner Keolis. Andy, a chartered engineer, is responsible for operations, track, electrification, and project delivery.
This year’s event host will be Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, the inspirational and outspoken 15-times Paralympic medal winner and champion, who has fought the cause of the disabled at the centre of Government, and is on the board of Transport for London.
Dinner at the Roundhouse is the UK’s flagship railway networking event, and almost all the 550 seats have now been sold.
